W twórczości Alistaira A. Tarwida pewne rzeczy można wyrazić poprzez malarstwo, niektóre poprzez śpiew, a inne tylko poprzez poezję. Recenzent poezji, dr Henryk Pustkowski pisze, że "wiersze Tarwida są zakorzenione w duchu angielskiej poezji metafizycznej; nawet to, co wydaje się  na pierwszy rzut oka prostą ekspresją zwykłych zdarzeń ujawnia głębszy sens tego, co widzimy i czujemy wokół nas. To są mądre, piękne i pocieszające wiersze".

 

For Alistair A. Tarwid there are some things you can express through painting, some through song, and others only through poetry. Poetry critic Dr. Henryk Pustkowski writes that "Tarwid’s  poems are rooted in the spirit of English metaphysical poetry; with even what seem at first glance to be simple expressions of ordinary events he shows a depth of insight that reveals a deeper meaning to what we see and feel around us. These are clever, beautiful and comforting poems“.

 
Alistair A. Tarwid was born in Wallingford, England in 1953

The son of a Pole and a Scot, he grew up in England, Kenya, Yemen and Singapore.

Originally an archaeologist and painter, Alistair A. Tarwid is now a translator and interpreter living on the German-Danish border. He has also appeared on the stage, acting in Low German dialect plays.
