The hero Philip Morton doesnt know who to trust. Very enjoyable and escapist as many characters live in extreme luxury.

Enchanted, Hildyard stays on the island, where he finds an old college chum, Stanley Owston, the estranged husband of the actress, who is the guardian of the girl, and the owner of the island. These stories take the reader to Morocco and China etc... basically out of NYC where Storey resides. Theres lots of action and danger and disguises and very very bad people.
