Hans Dominik

Moderne Piraten ist ein 1929 veröffentlichter Thriller des Autors Hans Dominik. Dominik ist einer der bedeutendsten Pioniere der Zukunftsliteratur in Deutschland. Seine Science-Fiction-Erzählungen erfreuen sich seit Anfang des vorigen Jahrhunderts bis in die Gegenwart großer Beliebtheit. Mit dem Roman Moderne Piraten verfasste Hans Dominik, ansonsten eher bekannt für seine Science-Fiction-Romane, in den 30er-Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts eine tempogeladenen Geschichte, die sich mit dem internationalen Drogenhandel beschäftigt. Durch Zufall kommt ein junger Deutscher einer Bande Rauschgifthändler auf die Spur. Der Roman spielt an stets wechselnden Orten und erinnert an die rasanten Verfolgungsjagden, die zum Beispiel bei James Bond-Filmen beliebt sind.
