Sfinks lodowy

Juliusz Verne

Shapes in the Fire. Being a Mid-Winters Nights Entertainment in Two Parts and an Interlude

M.P. Shiel

M.P. Shiel, who wrote science fiction, mystery, and other genre fiction from the 1890s through 1930s, first established himself as a member of a Decadent movement in England. He was influenced by the Decadent movement lastingly than most of his contemporaries, in part because the tenets of Decadence resonated with his own personal history and racial views. As the movement faded, Shiel built on the underlying logic of Decadence to create adventure novels involving race-based conflict. Shiels racism is disturbing but complex, ultimately leading toward a vision of union between Self and Other. Shiels developing views are evident in five of his works from 1895-1901. Shapes in the Fire: Being a Mid-Winter-Nights Entertainment in Two Parts and an Interlude is one of these works that highly recommended for reading!

Shattered Dreams. Chłopcy z Bellerose. Tom 3

Jaymin Eve, Tate James

Sheila McLeod. A Heroine of the Back Blocks

Guy Boothby

It was raining a little before noon, and now, standing on the veranda of my station, looking at the blue lagoon with the edge of a boiling surf, I was lucky not only to have one of the best paintings in the South Pacific, but to clearly smell the sweet aroma of flowers jasmine and wild lime in the jungle that covered the hillside behind me. I went to one end of the veranda and stopped watching a group of local girls who were preparing a tappa at the nearest hut then to the other, and looked into my crowded copra shed and from it to the bare shelves of the large trading room opposite.

Shen Long. Chiński Smok

L. Newton Hayes

Smok to jedno z najbardziej zagadkowych i wielowymiarowych stworzeń w historii ludzkości. W podaniach, legendach i opowieściach te majestatyczne stworzenia przybierały różne formy i rozmiary.

Sheriff Larrabees Prisoner

Max Brand

Old Mr. Benton had been murdered on his lonely ranch and there was only one suspect: the stranger who rode up in the downpour and sped off again before dawn. But looks can be deceiving and there were plenty of others acting suspiciously including Mrs. Zellar and Jack Montagne. Who had killed old Mr. Benton? The stranger, or Gus, or Mrs. Zellar? And why was Jack Montagnes behavior so gentlemanly? This is an old-fashioned Western mystery. Max Brand was one of many pseudonyms used by Frederick Schiller Faust (1892 1944), an American author known primarily for his thoughtful and literary Westerns.
