Ktoś czuwa nad nami i pragnie naszych sukcesów. - To główne tezy książki fantastycznej Stana Ancienta. "Primeras" to pierwsza część opowieści o tym, co jest poza światem, w którym żyjemy. Okazuje się, że tam rządzą doskonale nam znane prawa. Otaczane tajemnicą sacrum wprawdzie są niezwykle swojskie i zrozumiałe. Z powieści Stana Ancienta dowiemy się "Skąd przychodzimy i dokąd idziemy". Autor jednak nie powołuje się, jak to obecnie jest w modzie, na objawienia czy duchowe kontakty z Bogiem. Stan Ancient stworzył powieść fantastyczną, mocno osadzoną w realiach obecnej wiedzy o wszechświecie. Spopularyzował tę wiedzę i wypełnił własną wyobraźnią. Dla trzeźwo stąpających po ziemi, ale myślących Czytelników, książka ta na pewno stanie się ucztą duchową. Przeniesie Was ona w świat fantastyki. Kreuje świat konsekwentnie i obrazowo. Postaci są wyraziste, reprezentują całą gamę charakterów i osobowości. Wiele z nich zdołacie polubić. Książka jest o odwadze, odpowiedzialności, uczciwości. Kanwa opowieści zasadza się na pewnym przesłaniu, podporządkowana jest jego logice i być może, w związku z tym, po przeczytaniu powieści, może najdą Was filozoficzne refleksje. Nie ma ideału absolutnego, możemy się zawieść nawet na tych, których uważamy za "kryształowo" uczciwych. W książce bardzo wiele się dzieje. Bohaterowie różnych cywilizacji, są splątani swymi losami. Nierzadko rozwiązują problemy życia i śmierci, nie tylko jednostek, ale całych cywilizacji. Jest tu też wątek kryminalny.

Once during a hunt, he stumbles upon ordinary peasants who did not recognize him and agreed to shelter him for the night. During the evening dinner, the unrecognized prince tries to find out from the peasants what they think about their ruler, and those, as ordinary people, told him everything they think about Prince Otto.

It includes the following mysteries: The Race of Orven, The Stone of the Edmundsbury Monks, The S.S.. Prince Zaleski is an eccentric gentleman detective who suffers from ennui but might sometimes be induced to take an absorbing interest in questions that had proved themselves too profound, or too intricate, for ordinary solution. Those who like mystery/detective fiction and weird fiction with fin-de-siecle British Decadence will enjoy this blend of the genres.

Edgar Wallace
As a prophecy of modern warfare, this book, written before the Great War, is distinctly remarkable, as well as having the genuine Edgar Wallace sense of thrilling narrative. The centre of the plot is the invasion of Britain in 1909. It could be a crime story, as it opens in the mean streets of working class Deptford in the opening years of the 20th century, and includes criminals petty and not so petty. It is also a war story, and includes a balloon air raid over London; and finally the love story of Private Selby and his dream girl, the Brown Lady, also known as O.C. An interesting small novel which changes rather abruptly from a crime novel to a military drama and finally an early alternative history-meller describing a conflict.
