Żyjemy w czasach, w których kontakt z obcokrajowcami (osobisty lub wirtualny) jest nieunikniony. Publikacja koncentruje się na charakterystyce spotkań międzykulturowych, interakcji jakie zachodzą pomiędzy uczestnikami takich spotkań oraz przedstawieniu czynników, które odgrywają istotną rolę podczas komunikacji międzykulturowej. Spotkania międzykulturowe omówione są z dwóch perspektyw: teoretycznej i osobistej, uwzględniającej doświadczenia studentów Filologii Angielskiej polskiego i tureckiego pochodzenia. Publikacja z jednej strony przybliża specyfikę kontaktów międzykulturowych i pozwala zaobserwować mechanizmy, jakie podczas takich spotkań występują; z drugiej zaś stanowi materiał źródłowy w postaci osobistych refleksji uczestników badania, historyjek i anegdotek z zakresu komunikacji międzykulturowej. Dlatego też, książka adresowana jest do zarówno do studentów, osób podróżujących i mających kontakt z obcokrajowcami, jak i nauczycieli lub osób prowadzących szkolenia międzykulturowe.

The main goal of the monograph is to present a proven method, based on a process approach, to define and improve the conditions of education at a higher education institution for individual disabilities. This is accompanied by the author's conviction that the developed and promoted method should define the obligations of each university in the field of ensuring access of PwD to higher education, and that the fulfillment of these obligations should be ensured by the law formulated in such a way that these obligations are explicitly indicated as absolute.

Energy efficiency is not only energy yield related to the energy consumption in a specific device or building but also the possibility of optimal use of the stored energy in a determine area or in the system, without the necessity for its transmission. Generation, distribution and balancing of energy demand, in a limited area, becomes an energy cluster in which, under the agreement of the entities forming the cluster, there is a possibility for effective management of energy produced and its storage, according to the requirements and assumptions of the capacity market. The purpose of such an initiative is primarily the effective development of distributed energy, which does not have to be based solely on renewable energy sources, but can also use conventional sources, according to dedicated management models. The whole project is intended to improve energy security, have a positive impact on the environment, strengthen the local economy and generate lower costs for the end user. According to the RES Act, a member of an energy cluster can be an enterprise, a natural person, a local government unit and their organizational units. It can also include small, medium and large public transport companies and other entities functioning in the area covered by the energy cluster. A cluster initiative may be established and operate in an area no larger than five municipalities or one county, and its purpose is to obtain financial and non-financial benefits for the members of the energy cluster.

The book is dedicated to people seeking a good business solution and aiming to bring it to the market in a timely manner. It should be noted that this does not only apply to new businesses, but also those already existing on the market since they constantly have to generate ideas and adapt them to changing market conditions.

Entrepreneurship is a key factor for economic growth, improving the competitiveness of countries’ economies and increasing social prosperity. Young entrepreneurs face a number of challenges as a result of the rapidly changing socio-economic environment. In their activities aimed at launching a business, young entrepreneurs need knowledge and skills on a wide range of topics related to finance, law, marketing, product management, etc. This is why more and more projects aiming at comprehensive assistance in launching a business are being developed. One of them is the project “Acceleration of Business Support Ecosystem” (ACCESS), which was co-financed under the programme Interreg V-A Lithuania-Poland 2014-2020. ACCESS strengthens entrepreneurial initiatives by improving business support services in Kaunas and Marijampole region on the Lithuanian side, as well as Suwalki and Bialystok sub-regions in Poland. One of the many results of the project is the creation of two publications on theoretical and practical aspects of setting up and running a business. These publications aim to popularise entrepreneurial attitudes and provide knowledge necessary to achieve success in business. Young entrepreneurs, before embarking on their brave activities, should check where and what funds they can obtain to start or develop their own enterprise. They should gain knowledge about the target group they intend to reach. In addition, they should focus on ways to communicate with the hypothetical recipient. An equally important aspect is to create a team that will work effectively.

Pierwszy numer czasopisma obejmuje zagadnienia związane z transferem językowym oraz rozwojem systemu fonologicznego i morfologicznego osoby dwujęzycznej. Theory and Practice of Second Language Acquisition, Volume 2, Issue 1 to drugi numer nowopowstałego czasopisma (półrocznik) poświęconego pracom teoretycznym oraz badaniom empirycznym zajmującym się przyswajaniem języka drugiego oraz uczeniem się języka obcego. Jest czasopismem o zasięgu międzynarodowym gromadzi bowiem Autorów z wielu środowisk akademickich poza Polską. Tegoroczny pierwszy numer koncentruje się na takich zmiennych socjolingwistycznych jak wiek i płeć uczących się języka obcego, komunikacji mailowej pomiędzy osobami niebędącymi rodzimymi użytkownikami języka angielskiego, a także na zjawisku przełączania kodów w ustnej komunikacji polskich imigrantów w Wielkiej Brytanii. Oprócz tego odnajdujemy w tomie prace na temat nowej konceptualizacji zdolności językowych oraz psycholingwistycznych procesów towarzyszących przyswajaniu języka portugalskiego jako trzeciego lub kolejnego. Tak jak poprzedni, obecny numer także kierowany jest zarówno do badaczy procesów przyswajania języków, jak i do praktykujących glottodydaktyków.
Toponimia powiatu tureckiego. Słownik nazw

Publikacja - słownik ojkonimów i anojkonimów z powiatu tureckiego stanowi znakomite źródło poznania nazw miejscowych i terenowych ze wschodniej Wielkopolski. Zawiera 1725 haseł skonstruowanych według przejrzystej struktury: wyraz hasłowy, zapisy form gwarowych nazwy, informacja na temat charakteru obiektu, etymologia naukowa nazwy, historia obiektu lub jego ludowa etymologia. Materiał słownikowy został zgromadzony samodzielnie przez autorkę w wyniku eksploracji terenowej w latach 2010-2012, podczas której przeprowadzono rozmowy ze 195 informatorami, oraz w wyniku ekscerpcji źródeł historycznych. Praca stanowi cenny zbiór zestawiający toponimy z powiatu tureckiego obszaru położonego we wschodniej części Wielkopolski, dotychczas nieopracowanego przez onomastów [...] Jest dobrym uzupełnieniem publikacji dotyczących terenów sąsiednich [...] Praca ma charakter językoznawczy, choć jej odbiorcami mogą być także przedstawiciele innych dyscyplin, a także nieprofesjonaliści, zainteresowani tematyką regionalną dotyczącą Wielkopolski.
