Ile razy się zastanawialiście, jak potoczyłoby się Wasze życie, gdybyście w którymkolwiek momencie podjęli inną decyzję? Asia, Maja, Łukasz i kilkunastu innych bohaterów znanych Wam z syjamskich serii postanowiło puścić wodze fantazji, czego efektem jest ten zbiór opowiadań. Pozwolili mi nawet sprawdzić kilka hipotez, które snułam przy pracy nad poszczególnymi tomami "Mai", "Kronik Lenny'ego" i "Magii miłości". Stąd też tytuł tej książki. "WHAT IF..." to nic innego niż "Co by było, gdyby...". Wersja anglojęzyczna jakoś bardziej mi (i tym wariatom) pasuje. Miłej lektury życzy Wam Ewa Anna Sosnowska - kronikarka bandy szaleńców. Co by było, gdyby...? Zapewne każdy człowiek chociaż raz zadał sobie to pytanie. W życiu nie tak łatwo jest poznać alternatywne scenariusze, jednak od czego ma się książki? Ewa Anna Sosnowska tym razem bawi się życiorysami bohaterów swoich syjamskich serii, wrzucając ich w całkiem nowe sytuacje i okoliczności, a nawet nadając im inne cechy charakteru. To prawdziwa gratka dla czytelników, którzy nigdy nie mają dość Lenny'ego czy Mai. A przy okazji - możliwość przekonania się, co by było, gdyby... Musicie to przeczytać! Mad Bartnicka A gdyby tak stworzyć wszystko na nowo, podjąć inną decyzję, pójść w inną stronę, spóźnić się na pociąg lub autobus? Bohaterem powieści jest Pip, chłopiec wychowywany przez swoją siostrę i jej męża, kowala. Pewnego dnia malec spotyka ukrywającego się przestępcę, który uciekł z więzienia. Pip po kryjomu przynosi mężczyźnie jedzenie, wódkę i pilnik (wszystko ukradzione z domu swych opiekunów). Niedługo potem zbieg zostaje schwytany przez strażników. Nie będzie to jednak ostatnie ich spotkanie. Mija kilka lat, Pip pracuje jako czeladnik u swojego szwagra, jest nieszczęśliwie zakochany w Estelli, pięknej dziewczynce, wychowywanej przez bogatą, zdziwaczałą starą pannę. Niespodziewanie otrzymuje od anonimowego darczyńcy ogromną sumę pieniędzy, które pozwalają mu na rozpoczęcie edukacji w Londynie. Pip zaczyna wstydzić się swojego pochodzenia i oddala się od rodziny. Szybko jednak traci majątek (którego postanowił się wcześniej zrzec) i zmuszony jest samodzielnie zarabiać na utrzymanie…
