Dick Donovan
Before Sherlock Holmes there was Dick Donovan. The name struck terror into the hearts of thieves, murderers, fences, swindlers and criminals of every class, and his exploits gave delight to millions worldwide from 1888 onwards. This second volume of the Dick Donovan adventures collects three novels and a short story, written by British journalist and author of mystery and horror fiction J. E. Preston Muddock. For a time his detective stories were as popular as those of Arthur Conan Doyle.

A Front of Brass is more of a detective story. The author invites readers to be real detectives. Hubert Grant bought a manor near the cliff and married Mary. It seems strange that Grants partner Paul offered an estate for a very modest price. Paul received a telegram, a message because of which his hands shook.

Artur Andrus dziennikarz, radiowiec, satyryk, autor i wykonawca piosenek, głównie kabaretowych. Motto, którym się kieruje w swoim życiu, brzmi: Każdy powinien mieć motto, którym się kieruje w swoim życiu i dobrze, żeby ono brzmiało. Wojciech Zimiński - scenarzysta, dziennikarz, satyryk, prowadzący "Szkło kontaktowe" w TVN24, chwilami autor rysunków satyrycznych, nie lubi ryb (jeść, oglądać je lubi).

The state of the working class in the early 20th century caused significant changes in the left-wing political parties. The Liberal Party, which enjoyed the support of the working class, was threatened by the Party of Labor and trade unions that were in the forefront of the socialist and communist movement. In this novel, we are talking about a great deal of sympathy for the poorest workers who lost their jobs due to automation, recession and mass layoffs. The use of taxes on foreign trade to protect the British industry is a major political issue in this history.
