Bycie, jako bycie-ku-śmierci, a jednak będące jedynie byciem ku formom, ku złudzeniom, ku kuglarskim, żałosnym sztuczkom, zabija Justine. Prawdziwa śmierć będzie końcem, wyzwoleniem i prawdą. Filozofia Martina Heideggera bywa uważana za nieprzystępną i hermetyczną, język za pretensjonalny i maskujący banalność myśli. Czy zatem autor Bycia i czasu ma jeszcze coś do zaoferowania odbiorcy w XXI wieku? Ma i to niemało. Tomasz Stawiszyński "Film zajmuje się tym, czym blisko 1600 lat temu zajmował się, przechadzający się po Atenach, Sokrates - stawia pytania, prowokuje, kwestionuje to, co oczywiste" - zaznacza Martyna Butrym w pierwszej części książki, odpowiadając w ten sposób trochę na pytanie, dlaczego ją napisała. Stawianie pytań przez kino od początków jego istnienia, a zwłaszcza na przełomie XX i XXI wieku, to zagadnienie złożone. Autorka wkracza w ten obszar śmiało, wybierając Siódmą pieczęć Bergmana (1957), Dzień świra Koterskiego (2002), Godziny Daldry'ego (2002) i Melancholię von Triera (2011). Godne podkreślenia, że wybrane filmy Autorka analizuje bez trudu, stosując terminologię filmoznawczą. Realizację podjętego zamiaru oceniam wysoko i uważam, że przypomnienie, iż warto interpretować filmy, korzystając z pomocy filozofów - wśród których Heidegger jest zapewne jednym z najważniejszych - może mieć kapitalne znaczenie dla polskiej myśli i krytyki filmowej. dr hab.
