Moje doświadczenia związane z dziećmi rozpoczęły się w momencie przyjścia na świat mojego pierwszego syna, nie zostały ukształtowane przez żadną wiedzę z zewnątrz i przekonania o tym, co należy zdaniem innych z dzieckiem robić. Już od naszych pierwszych wspólnych dni kierowałam się czystą intuicją i dopiero po kilku latach dowiedziałam się, że ta intuicja znajduje potwierdzenie w nauce, że działanie metod polecanych przez supernianie i różne magiczki od wychowania a metody te odrzucałam, bo ich stosowanie kosztowało mnie za dużo wysiłku nie znajduje potwierdzenia w badaniach naukowych. Owszem, różne strategie działają, ale na krótką metę, nie dają jednak korzyści i nauki na przyszłość. W wychowaniu dzieci kieruję się logiką i sercem. Bez sztucznych zasad i reguł. Chciałabym, żeby moje dzieci wiedziały, że w życiu, dorosłym życiu, które je czeka, nikt nie da im kary za nieposprzątany pokój, nikt nie da im nagrody za odwiedzenie babci, nikt nie będzie ich stawiał do kąta za to, że nie chciały się podzielić zabawkami lub że poniosły je emocje. Chciałabym, żeby wszystkie dzieci miały dzieciństwo, które uczyłoby, że dobre rzeczy robimy dlatego, że są dobre, a nie pod groźbą kary czy ze względu na nagrodę.
