Mamy tu między innymi sataniczną metafizykę, obrządki magiczne, hipnozę, letargi i najprzeróżniejszą masę okultyzmu.

Jakby tego było mało, Matho wykrada z Kartaginy święty zaimf, co jeszcze mocniej podsyca strach wśród lokalnej społeczności. Salambo córka Hamilkara, za namową kapłanów, udaje się do namiotu Matho, by odzyskać przedmiot kultu.
