Combinatorial point configurations and polytopes

The monograph is dedicated to exploring combinatorial point configurations derived from mapping a set of combinatorial configurations into Euclidean space. Various methods for this mapping, along with the typology and properties of the resultant configurations, are presented. In addition, the study revolves around combinatorial polytopes defined as convex hulls of combinatorial point configurations. The primary focus lies in examining multipermutation and partial multipermutation point configurations alongside their associated combinatorial polytopes known as multipermutohedra and partial multipermutohedra. Our theoretical contributions are substantiated through the proof of theorems and supporting auxiliary statements. Examples and illustrations are included to enhance the comprehension of the material.

XX wieku, a w Polsce od przełomu wieków XX i XXI dyskurs LGBT – emancypacyjny, tożsamościowy, teoretyczny, artystyczny – powinien skłaniać badaczy do jego naukowej eksploracji. I rzeczywiście, stanowi pole zainteresowania wielu dziedzin naukowych. Traktują o nim filozofowie różnych paradygmatów, psychologowie i socjologowie, przyciąga uwagę antropologów, kulturoznawców, filmoznawców, literaturoznawców. Nie jest nieobecny w refleksji i badaniach lingwistycznych. W Polsce najwięcej dotychczas uwagi poświęcono problematyce nominacji osób LGBT, która jest bardzo wrażliwym obszarem ujęzykowienia postrzegania i kategoryzowania osób o tożsamości psychoseksualnej innej niż powszechnie przyjęta – przez język zwany ogólnym, ale też przez język „branżowy”, czyli będący w użytku w środowisku osób LGBT. Tok myślenia autorki kieruje się w stronę działania językowego osób nieheteroseksualnych. Wybiera ona gatunek mowy, który mocą swej performatywności stwarza nową rzeczywistość nie tylko językową – i to zarówno w skali jednostkowej, jak i społecznej. To coming out – publiczne (w różnym zakresie) oświadczenie danego człowieka o znaczeniu ‘jestem osobą LGBT’. Praktyka komunikacyjna znana od dawna, choć jeszcze tak nie nazwana, bo obecne znaczenie wyrażenia datuje się od lat 60. ubiegłego stulecia, w Polsce pojawiła się w przestrzeni dyskursu publicznego w latach 90. XX w. Bardzo szybko została zaadaptowana: i akt komunikacyjny, nazwany coming outem, i nazwa, będącą cytatem z angielszczyzny. Książka, mająca jako tło teoretyczne lingwistykę kulturową, traktuje o (relatywnie) nowym na polskiej mapie genologicznej gatunku mowy, jego semantyce i pragmatyce oraz o poszukiwaniach nazewniczych dla zetykietowania go (albo mówiąc językiem nowomedialnym: otagowania). Nazwa w tym przypadku ma bowiem wielki walor, ponieważ nie tylko dokumentuje ewolucję znaczenia wyrażania, ale także niesie z sobą duży potencjał emocjonalny wobec nazywanego wydarzenia komunikacyjnego. Autorkę zajmuje polska praktyka wychodzenia z szafy, co nie oznacza, że jako tło i dokumentację materiałową pomija coming outy poza Polską i literaturę piękną, w której znajduje reprezentację problematyki LGBT i ilustracje zjawisk, o których pisze. Uważa coming out za gatunek mowy podnadgraniczny, uwagę koncentruję jednak na jego językowym opisie w polskiej przestrzeni dyskursowej.
