Książka Janusza Korczaka z 1911 roku. Wcześniej ukazywała się na łamach Promyka jako powieść w odcinkach. Powstała na bazie obserwacji i wydarzeń z życia chłopców na kolonii letniej w Wilhelmówce w 1908 roku. Janusz Korczak, właśc. Henryk Goldszmit (18781942), polsko-żydowski lekarz i pedagog, zajmował się teorią i praktyką wychowania. Pisał utwory literackie oraz publicystyczne, w których propagował prawa dziecka oraz nowoczesne metody wychowawcze.

Czteroaktowa tragedia Kazimierza Przerwy-Tetmajera z 1917 roku. Opowiada historię jednego z apostołów, tytułowego Judasza, którego złe działania autor próbuje racjonalnie uzasadnić. Bohater jest zadłużonym, nieszczęśliwym człowiekiem, pogrążonym w konflikcie ze swoimi dziećmi oraz matką, która w dzieciństwie źle go traktowała. Szuka ukojenia wśród uczniów Jezusa, jednak przez związek z szaloną kobietą rujnuje relacje z pozostałymi apostołami.

The author Charles Williams (1886-1945), who was a British theologian, playwright, novelist and poet, was commissioned to produce this play to mark the 25th anniversary of The Diocese of Chelmsford in 1939. In it, he created a huge, sprawling drama about the history of Chelmsford. Eight episodes, a prologue and epilogue, make this a formidable work. It was intended to be a large-scale pageant play and explores both historical and spiritual themes. Thus the complete pageant offers a representation not only of the history of the diocese, but of the movement of the soul of man in its journey from the things of this world to the heavenly city of Almighty God.

The characters are diverse and strong in these books. Walpole clearly believed in women with character, because the book is full of them. Not so outrageous to be incredible, but more women who will not be meek rugs for spouses or family members. History and famous characters sometimes slip in to add color and historical context. Vivid descriptions of the countryside, especially the lake region. Even now, ridges and lakes penetrate in all directions of life.
