The textbook is intended for civil engineering students. It provides a comprehensive introduction to structural analysis and covers topics related to the analysis of statically determinate planar bar structures such as beams, frames, arches and trusses. The classical hand-computation-based procedures for finding the internal forces of the statically determinate planar bar structures due to applied loading are discussed. Within each chapter, the theoretical basis necessary to solve the problems are given (briefly). The computational examples are presented in detail.
