Przedmiotem monografii są zmiany na rynku pracy występujące w okresie pandemii COVID-19. Szczególna uwaga poświęcona jest zmianom trzech podstawowych wielkości ekonomicznych dotyczących tego rynku, a mianowicie zatrudnienia, bezrobocia i płac. Bazę empiryczną stanowią rynki pracy w 4 krajach Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej, należących do tzw. Grupy Wyszehradzkiej, czyli Czechach, Polsce, Słowacji i na Węgrzech. Horyzont czasowy skutków pandemii został ograniczony do czterech kwartałów 2020 roku i dwóch pierwszych kwartałów 2021 roku, ale dla celów porównawczych uwzględniono również w analizach lata wcześniejsze. Podstawowym celem monografii jest określenie kierunków i skali zmian zatrudnienia, bezrobocia i płac w krajach Grupy Wyszehradzkiej w okresie pandemii COVID-19 w porównaniu z okresem przedpandemicznym.
