Seattle-born author who worked as a cowhand in California, attended Berkeley, joined then deserted the Canadian Army, and finally settled down to writing full-time. He was incredibly prolific and wrote numerous books under his birth name (Frederick Faust) and a variety of pseudonyms. Today he is best known for his work published as Max Brand. Red Devil Of The Range is one of his Western fiction. Pamiątkowe wydanie na 500-lecie Reformacji czterech ówczesnych polskich tłumaczeń psalmów powstało w Łodzi. Chcieliśmy, by przybrało formę tetrapli, to znaczy, że na jednej stronicy wydrukowane są cztery wersje psalmów: parafrazy poetyckiej Jana Kochanowskiego (1579) i trzech tłumaczeń: Biblii brzeskiej (1563), psalmów Wujka (1594) oraz Biblii gdańskiej (1632). Jednak układ parafrazy Kochanowskiego czyni takie przedsięwzięcie bardzo dyskusyjnym, liczba wersów bardzo czasami odbiega od pozostałych wersji. Ze względów także estetycznych musieliśmy z tego pierwotnego projektu zrezygnować, nie rezygnując z poczwórności selekcji. W naszym wyborze widać ekumeniczny charakter projektu. Dwie wersje są protestanckie, jedna uważana za ponadwyznaniową i jedna katolicka. Czytelnik może łatwo porównać te wersje i samodzielnie obcować z pięknem języka polskiego z okresu narodzin nowożytności.
