Dzisiaj należy do mnie to optymistyczna, ale nie naiwna, opowieść o ponadczasowej determinacji w poszukiwaniu własnej drogi do szczęścia. Do spełnienia, które dla każdego może wyglądać zupełnie inaczej i znajdować się w innym miejscu na ziemi. To historia prawdziwych miłości i przyjaźni, strat i radości, a także siły i odwagi, która jest w każdym z nas. Kama, główna bohaterka z humorem i dystansem opowiada nam o sobie, a wiele jej wspomnień dotyczy ludzi, których kiedyś poznała, pokochała, a także straciła. Jedni przemknęli przez jej życie niemal niezauważeni, drudzy pojawili się znienacka i równie niespodziewanie zniknęli, a jeszcze inni zadomowili się w nim na dobre. Dlatego ona uczy się korzystać z ich doświadczeń, chociaż zdarza się też, że uczy się na własnych błędach. Bo przecież często to, co wydaje się końcem, jest zarazem początkiem... Ta ciepła, choć czasem i gorzka opowieść, pełna barwnych postaci, zaskakujących wydarzeń, odważnych decyzji i trudnych wyborów, jest niepowtarzalną lekcją życia. Skłania do przemyśleń, inspiruje, bawi i wzrusza, a potem zostaje z nami na długo. Książka wyróżniona przez Jury konkursu literackiego Brakująca Litera 2019. Rekomendacje: Od dziecka wiedziałam, że jestem starą duszą. Ta moja intuicja, dojrzałość nad wiek, wyczucie sytuacji i przeczucia... trudno to nawet opisać. Nie pamiętam, czy w poprzednim wcieleniu byłam rozpieszczonym pekińczykiem czy niewolnicą na dworze okrutnego władcy, jednak wiem, że nie jestem tu po raz pierwszy. Przebłyski skojarzeń i (może) wspomnień towarzyszą mi przez całe życie. Spotykają mnie także liczne przypadki i zbiegi okoliczności, które, jak wiemy, nie istnieją. Ostatnio takim przypadkiem było poznanie Agnieszki Dydycz. Poleciła mi swoją dopiero co napisaną książkę. Przeczytałam ją jednym tchem, coraz bardziej wciągając się w akcję i coraz bardziej dziwiąc się podobieństwem opisywanych postaci i zdarzeń do tych z mojego życia. Autorka też jest starą duszą, inteligentną, mądrą i dowcipną. Pewnie kiedyś i gdzieś byłyśmy przyjaciółkami. Polecam serdecznie tę lekturę i lekką refleksję nad życiem. Nina Kowalewska-Motlik

Dziurdiowie to powieść o ludziach, którzy za sprawą przesądów, głupoty i wiary w zabobony dopuszczają się samosądów, krzywdząc przy tym niewinnych ludzi. Wszystko to opisane w konwencji mrocznego kryminału, od którego nie sposób się oderwać.

Dzieło należy do klasyki literatury europejskiej. Akcja osadzona jest w Paryżu, w czasach późnego średniowiecza. Opowiada przede wszystkim o miłości archidiakona Klaudiusza Frollo do pięknej Cyganki Esmeraldy. Świadkiem skomplikowanej relacji jest adoptowany przez Klaudiusza Quasimodo, pełniący obowiązki dzwonnika słynnej katedry. Nie mniej ciekawe od głównego wątku jest tło bogaty, wielobarwny pejzaż Paryża, w którym jak w soczewce skupia się kultura średniowiecznej Europy.
Talbot Mundy
This is the fourth book of the succesful mystery series Madame Storey, by canadian-american author Hulbert Footner. Almost unknown today, Footner was a Candadian journalist and author of many adventure and mystery novels. In The Doctor Who Held Hands Madame Storey is asked to help in stopping the pseudo-psychological activities of a doctor who has set himself up as a psycho-synthetist, seemingly to help his patients, but in fact blackmailing them... Storey is almost imprisoned in her movements from the very start giving the story a bit of claustrophobic feel until little by little she finds a way to break out of the surveillance. The story has a lot of action and a neat twist in the final paragraph.

Eine Erzählung aus den Vereinigten Staaten ist eine frühe Abenteuergeschichte Karl Mays. Im Llano estakado treffen der Dichter Richard Forster und der Jäger Tim Summerland aufeinander. Sie können sich vor dem Tod retten, indem Forster Kojoten erschießt und beide das Blut trinken. Glücklich entronnen treffen sie am Rande der Wüste auf Stakemen. Nach einem Kampf hat Summerland sein geraubtes Eigentum zurück und der Oberschurke wurde durch einen Tomahawkschlag gekennzeichnet. Als der Schurke sich später in Stenton bei dem reichen Bankier Olbers und dessen Tochter Marga unter dem falschen Namen Tom Wilson einschleicht, wird er von Forster entlarvt und muss seinen üblen Plan ändern. Zwar misslingen die Anschläge auf Summerland und Forster, aber der Schurke kann mit 50.000 ergaunerten Dollar fliehen. Wilson flieht mit einem Schiff, wird aber vom Kapitän erkannt und auf einer unbewohnten Insel ausgesetzt. Die ihn verfolgenden Helden, Summerland und Forster, sammeln ihn dort auf. Als Wilson Forster angreift, kommt er zu Tode. Die Helden werden von Graf Hernando reich beschenkt und kehren nach Stenton zurück, wo Forster sich mit Marga Olbers verlobt.
