Pomysł na Gorącą Antologię zrodził się w umyśle Katarzyny Krzan, redaktor naczelnej wydawnictwa E-bookowo i portalu Strefa Autora. Umyśle – dodajmy – owładniętym gorączką z powodu szalejącej grypy. Z tego powodu wiele tekstów zgromadzonych w tej książce (przede wszystkim prozatorskich) nosi znamiona szaleństwa, sennych majaczeń bądź irracjonalnych wizji kłębiących się bez opamiętania i umiaru. Zabieg to jak najbardziej celowy i w szaleństwie swym uzasadniony, ma on bowiem wprawić czytelnika w podobnie gorączkowy stan balansujący na granicy snu i jawy, fikcji i faktów, zmyślenia i rzeczywistości. Zaskakujące puenty, obrazy mrożące krew w żyłach, wizje absurdalne lub śmieszne, odległa historia zmiksowana z realiami współczesności, futurystyczne przepowiednie i metaliterackie fantasmagorie. Wszystko to – mamy nadzieję – przyprawi czytelnika o chorobliwe wypieki na twarzy, czyli wrażenia osobliwe, nadzwyczajne i niezapomniane.
