Barnabé Rudge est un roman historique brillant de Charles Dickens. Lauteur parle du mystere et de linconnu, qui commence par un double meurtre non divulgué et comprend la conspiration, le chantage, lenlevement et le châtiment. Barnaby Rudge is a half-witted young innocent simpleton who is devoted to his talkative raven, Grip. When he gets caught up in the mayhem of the Gordon riots and a mysterious unsolved murder, his life is put in jeopardy. And, as London erupts into riot, Barnaby Rudge himself struggles to escape the curse of his own past. With its dramatic descriptions of public violence and private horror, its strange secrets and ghostly doublings, Barnaby Rudge is a powerful, disturbing blend of historical realism and Gothic melodrama.

Bleak House, like many of Dickens writings, is about various social issues. Bleak House is a satirical story about Dickens view of the British judiciary system. Both Esther Summerson, one of the characters in the story, and a separate third person narrator, tell the story. Esther speaks about the experiences of her life, and the third person narrator speaks about the experiences of some of the people of the town.
