Sherif Talaat jest młodym nałogowcem komputerowym i posiadaczem wielu różnych certyfikatów. Pracuje w branży teleinformatycznej od 2005 roku. Kiedyś pracował przy rdzennych platformach i rozwiązaniach infrastrukturalnych Microsoftu. Zajmował się głównie automatyzacją procesów informatycznych i technikami skryptowymi.

Talaat jest jednym z pionierów używania Windows PowerShella na Bliskim Wschodzie i w Afryce. Wygłasza prelekcje na temat tej technologii na rozmaitych spotkaniach branżowych i zlotach użytkowników. Jest też założycielem egipskiej grupy użytkowników PowerShella (http://egpsug.org) oraz autorem bloga na temat PowerShella (http://arabianpowershell.wordpress.com). Od 2009 roku pięć razy z rzędu otrzymywał tytuł Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Microsoftu w zakresie PowerShella.
