His writing studio, Curwood Castle, is now a museum in Owosso, Michigan.Curwood was born in Owosso, Michigan, the youngest of four children.[2] He left high school before graduation, but passed the entrance exam to the University of Michigan, where he enrolled in the English department and studied journalism.
