Though Darcy is proud and reserved at first, it becomes obvious of his fondness for Elizabeth.

Romantic and full of atmosphere, this is a most enjoyable read that was our first introduction to Charlie Chan.

Thorndykes lovable lab assistant Polton has a starring role in this novel.
