Historia opowiada o kapitanie Tomie Lingardzie, który wyruszył w podróż na Archipelag Malajski, aby pomóc przyjacielowi odzyskać królestwo. Po drodze pomaga uratować jacht, który ugrzązł na mieliźnie, i ulega urokowi żony właściciela jachtu.
