The Great Depression has not yet begun, but tension is felt in the cities, clashes are taking place between the striking workers and strike breakers, which are supported by the police.

Po pierwsze, układ wielkości organizacyjnych jest odpowiedzią na wciąż zwiększającą się „dżunglę teorii zarządzania” i w pewnym stopniu porządkuje metodykę badania rzeczywistości organizacyjnej. W zamierzeniu autora układ wielkości organizacyjnych jako koncepcja metodologiczna nauk o zarządzaniu ma być sposobem na ujednolicenie poszczególnych obszarów badania rzeczywistości organizacyjnej. Ma on pełnić podobną rolę jak układ SI w przypadku badania i automatyzacji zjawisk fizycznych, co w konsekwencji może prowadzić do stworzenia w przyszłości menedżera-robota, zdolnego zastąpić pracę menedżera-człowieka w pewnych obszarach zarządzania organizacją. Publikacja adresowana jest do badaczy rzeczywistości organizacyjnej, skoncentrowanych na funkcjonowaniu organizacji, a w niej na pracy menedżera i jego zespołu. Zamierzeniem autora było również zainteresowanie naukowców i praktyków zarządzania ideą pomiaru rzeczywistości organizacyjnej w sposób analogiczny do pomiarów zjawisk fizycznych, a także zwrócenie uwagi na nieuchronną automatyzację pracy menedżera. Z uwagi na to, że publikacja zawiera szeroki przegląd wielu aspektów z zakresu metodologii nauk, wydaje się, że zainteresuje również doktorantów i młodych doktorów specjalizujących się w naukach ekonomicznych i społecznych.
