Vom konservativen Schriftsteller zum Inneren Emigranten. Ernst Wiechert - Eine Fallstudie

Der aus Ostpreußen stammende Schriftsteller und Dichter Ernst Wiechert hat zwischen 1920 und 1968 das literarische und kulturelle Leben in Deutschland und in den Nachbarländern mitbestimmt. Die vorliegende Monographie hat zum Ziel, das Gesamtschaffen Ernst Wiecherts zu analysieren und aufgrund dieser Analyse den literarischen Werdegang eines deutschen Schriftstellers zu schildern, vom Anhänger der Konservativen Revolution bis zu seinem Protest und Widerstand gegen den Nationalsozialismus. Der Kernpunkt der Arbeit ist also nicht der biographische Blick auf die Persönlichkeit Wiecherts, obwohl diese natürlich eine wichtige Rolle bei der Auslegung seiner Werke spielt und der Bezug darauf unvermeidlich ist, sondern die Analyse seiner Werke hinsichtlich ihres Widerstandspotentials und der Widerspiegelung der Entwicklung der Persönlichkeit und der Schöpferkraft Wiecherts selbst. Es soll gezeigt werden, wie einer der meistgelesenen deutschsprachigen Schriftsteller mit der nationalsozialistischen Diktatur umging und wodurch seine Entwicklung als Dichter und Entfaltung als Mensch bedingt war. Der Verfasser der Studie geht von der These aus, dass Ernst Wiechert in der bisherigen literaturwissenschaftlichen Forschung - vorwiegend eindimensional - als christlicher Autor und Repräsentant einer christlichen Orientierung innerhalb des Widerstands gegen den Nationalsozialismus im Dritten Reich wahrgenommen wurde. Diese Wahrnehmung ist und war insofern problematisch, als sie in einem nur geringen Maße die Dynamik der schriftstellerischen und publizistischen Tätigkeit Wiecherts berücksichtigt, die ein Effekt der eigenen Erfahrungen des Autors wie auch der kollektiven Einsichten seiner Generation war. In der Problematisierung dieses dynamischen Aspektes steckt der innovative Charakterdes Forschungsvorhabens. Eine weitere Frage, der in der Studie nachgegangen wird, ist das Phänomen einer relativ schnellen „Peripherisierung“ des Werks Ernst Wiecherts im Deutschland der Nachkriegszeit und seine möglichen Ursachen. Voyage planning in the Navies contains some different elements, which is why military students should take this fact into account. The Navy's voyage planning process is based on military instructions which are not illustrated in this handbook.
