Theory and Practice of Second Language Acquisition, Volume 2, Issue 1 to drugi numer nowopowstałego czasopisma (półrocznik) poświęconego pracom teoretycznym oraz badaniom empirycznym zajmującym się przyswajaniem języka drugiego oraz uczeniem się języka obcego. Jest czasopismem o zasięgu międzynarodowym gromadzi bowiem Autorów z wielu środowisk akademickich poza Polską. Tegoroczny pierwszy numer koncentruje się na takich zmiennych socjolingwistycznych jak wiek i płeć uczących się języka obcego, komunikacji mailowej pomiędzy osobami niebędącymi rodzimymi użytkownikami języka angielskiego, a także na zjawisku przełączania kodów w ustnej komunikacji polskich imigrantów w Wielkiej Brytanii.
