The tales of James Allison take place both in modern times and in the far past, in that time after the Hyborian kingdoms of Conan. Allison is a crippled Texan who lost a leg when his horse fell on him. To escape boredom and sadness he ventures into the past, exploring his previous lives as mighty warriors. All these ancestors were members of a migration of Aryans as they traveled the world in search of a homeland.
There is a man in London I guess he is still in London, though I have not had news of him in months hell be useful to you, Penn, if you ever need help. And so begins this story. It is impossible not to be thrilled by Edgar Wallace. Penelope of the Polyantha is a crime novel by this pioneer of detective fiction. One of the most prolific writers of the twentieth century, Edgar Wallace was an immensely popular author, who created exciting thrillers spiced with tales of treacherous crooks and hard-boiled detectives. During the peak of his success during the 1920s, it was said that a quarter of all books read in England were written by him. Many of his novels were made into films and TV dramas.
This collection of short works. Despite the fact that these are short stories, the author never ceases to amaze with his approach to his characters. The scene from Brittany Idiots is perhaps his most significant work. Here, Conrad describes a family cursed by a mental illness in a French village, and how the embryo difficulties affect parents.
The Great Reward is thirteen quirky short stories from the master of mystery Edgar Wallace. Fast-paced, with good classic twists and turns, an unusual criminal scheme and a little romance. Edgar Wallace was a British novelist, playwright, and journalist who produced popular detective and suspense stories and was in his time the king of the modern thriller. Wallaces literary output 175 books, 24 plays, and countless articles and review sketches have undermined his reputation as a fresh and original writer. Moreover, the author was a wholehearted supporter of Victorian and early Edwardian values and mores, which are now considered in some respects politically incorrect. In England, in the 1920s, Wallace was said to be the second biggest seller after the Bible.
1926. Arthur Cheney Train (1875-1945) was the former assistant district attorney in New York City. His interactions with clients, together with his experiences in the courtroom, provided the material for the more than 250 short stories and novels he would write during his lifetime. Train wrote dozens of stories about fictional lawyer Ephraim Tutt in the Saturday Evening Post. He also coauthored two science fiction novels with eminent physicist Robert W. Wood. After 1922, he devoted himself to writing. In The Blind Goddess, Hugh Dillon, a young lawyer, becomes a public prosecutor in New York City, and is soon forced to choose between his idealistic view of duty, and Moria Evans, the girl he loves, under circumstances, that seem to spell the end of his career.
Peter Pan is a fictional character created by Scottish novelist and playwright J. M. Barrie. The author behind one of the most beloved childhood fairytale characters of all time was known for his joyful embrace of youth and creativity, but there were dark elements surrounding his life that remain mysteries. A free-spirited and mischievous young boy who can fly and never grows up, Peter Pan spends his never-ending childhood having adventures on the mythical island of Neverland as the leader of the Lost Boys, interacting with fairies, pirates, mermaids, Native Americans and the dastardly Captain Hook, and occasionally ordinary children from the world outside Neverland. He befriends Wendy, John and Michael and teaches them to fly with a little help from fairy dust. Humorous, satiric, filled with suspenseful cliff-hangers and bittersweet truths, Peter Pan works an indisputable magic on readers of all ages, making it a true classic of imaginative literature.
The Councillors of Falconhoe, the new serial story, written by Mr. Fred. M. White. The story begins in the London club Mars and Jupiter, where several diplomats enjoy a quiet place, and the interest of the reader from the very beginning is maintained in an atmosphere of excitement. Hilary Gelicors, a central figure in the story, after an exciting adventure in the war, is unable to adapt to the relatively peaceful routine of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He prefers to work through other channels for the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and in the book he is fascinating to resist the machinations of those who would throw Europe further into the abyss.
Ród Rodrigandów (Tom 1-17). Ród Rodrigandów. Tom 117. MultiBook

Todays old castle is a mass of ivy-covered picturesque ruins, towering on the seashore and commanding the inner space of one of the most exquisite perspectives in the North. In this elegant house there is something very romantic and charming, protected by a gloomy fortress. For eight hundred years there had been a Castlerayne more or less ruling over these parts. Castlerayne were warriors, deities, statesmen, robbers, in turn. He had great wealth, all the inhabitants of the city envied him, but will his sense of superiority win over others?
Glennard had never thought himself a hero; but he had been certain that he was incapable of baseness. The central character, Stephen Glennard, sells for publication the private letters of a former, deceased lover, who had become a famous writer, so that he can finance his marriage to the girl he loves. The letters are a success, and he is able to be married. But when the guilt becomes unbearable and he confesses his transgression to his new wife, will she be able to forgive him? Will he be able to forgive himself? The debut novella from one of Americas greatest authors Edith Wharton, first published in 1900. It was also published under the title A Gift From The Grave.
