The main character discovered that all social class differences were erased, and there is a utopian society. He wonders how in the twenty-first century all kinds of music are available at the touch of a button. Credit card replaced the money. The author compares the 21st century and 19 in the novel.

There are frequent murders, more often than not carried out by unusual and exotic means.
